Philly Called Up

Every person has their dream vacation. Popular spots are Hawaii, Disney World or Europe, just to name a few. However many baseball fans do not care where their trips take them, as long as they can see their favorite team play.

Recently, at a Cutters game, I had the opportunity to interview three men going on a trip of a similar manner. They will be visiting five Philadelphia Phillies affiliates in five days.

Williamsport was their first stop. It was also the furthest ballpark from their home of Easton, PA.

Not every person likes every stadium, but their opinion was that Billtown houses “a neat and cool park.”

All three gentlemen were big Lehigh Valley IronPigs fans.

When asked about their thoughts on the big club’s first half, they agreed that it was “very cool to see old pigs.” It is indeed very cool. Some of those players are nearing their full time big league careers as the Phils’ roster is growing older.

Finally the burning question had to be asked; Gino’s or Pat’s? The answer was Pat’s across the board.

If you would like to follow the trip you can find these guys on Twitter, with the handle @PhillyCalledUp and use the hash tag #PhillyCalledUp.
